Nothing much has changed lately. It's been a strange week, honestly.

I've updated [[:Japan]] to include a few more FAQ-ish items related to services in Japan for visitors. I'm trying to keep this page focused on advice for visitors, so I'm intentionally keeping information that's resident-adjacent out. I did, however, create a page for [[:PayPay]] just to document it, since it's a special snowflake with its own requirements.

I think I'm probably going to go down the path of documenting barcode/payment systems in Japan and their uses. My eventual goal is probably a guide for new residents too, but that's just going to take more time.

[[https://usetapestry.com/|Tapestry]] recently launched, and it seems like a moderately compelling RSS + social reader for iOS/macOS. It seems to have gained a bit of press coverage:
