It seems like the theme of the week is “hurry up and wait.”

  * I tried moving [[:Apple]] Account / App Store regions, but this apparently required all subscriptions to have ended to core Apple services like Apple Music and Apple TV+, but curiously, not iCloud Plus. After disconnecting Apple TV+ from my [[:T-Mobile]] account, I learned that in-practice, Apple immediately moves you to a subscription and charges you. This led me to contact Apple Support. Apple Support claimed that they would cancel and refund me, allowing me to change regions within 2 hours. However, this turned out to be false. It took about two days for me to get the region change function.
  * Trying to port phone numbers into [[:FlyNumber]], I was told three numbers would transfer by the 5th of February. But being that I live in [[:Japan]], this realistically is closer to the 6th of February, and even then, I didn’t get any confirmation that the numbers actually ported in. I’m also growing increasingly confident that FlyNumber is probably run by a single person, who might just be away from keyboard?
  * I reached out to a CPA about US taxes in January, but haven’t heard anything back.
  * I reached out to my accountant with a relatively simple question at the beginning of the month, but it took until today to get a reply.
  * Bank transfers across countries continue to mystify the senses.

So, maybe that’s why the week has been so weird.
