The long and short of it is that I basically spent the entire year working and moving to [[Japan]], which was, in-and-of-itself, a giant project that unfortunately isn't fully completed. In other words, I don't feel *personally satisfied* that this is a process that's completed yet, because I'm still waiting on a final set of processes to complete. But I feel like it's safe enough to say that I spent the entirety of the year moving in some fashion or another.

 In practical terms, I spent the first ~8 months mostly in the US, and then spent ~4 months fluttering between Japan and the US, ultimately ending in Japan. The consequences of this were rather profound, as I kept switching timezones, maintaining my normal life, playing maimai, helping friends to and from their own moves, selling arcade cabinets, my car, and a lot of other random stuff. In-addition, I also essentially maintained a schedule that had me awake during most of Japan's workday and most of the US workday so that I could be on-the-same-page as my Japanese solicitors/lawyers/proxies/scriveners, while also maintaining normal activities in the US. At times, it certainly felt like a never-ending nightmare. Even now, in the midst of waiting on a final bit of paperwork to clear, it still kind of feels like a nightmare. But it's finally starting to quiet down.
