+====== 令和7年1月3日 ======
+To be entirely honest, 令和6 was a pretty crazy year for many reasons. The long and short of it is that I basically spent the entire year working and moving to [[:japan]], which was, in-and-of-itself, a giant project that unfortunately isn't fully completed. In other words, I don't feel *personally satisfied* that this is a process that's completed yet, because I'm still waiting on a final set of processes to complete. But I feel like it's safe enough to say that I spent the entirety of the year moving in some fashion or another.
+In practical terms, I spent the first ~8 months mostly in the US, and then spent ~4 months fluttering between Japan and the US, ultimately ending in Japan. The consequences of this were rather profound, as I kept switching timezones, maintaining my normal life, playing maimai, helping friends to and from their own moves, selling arcade cabinets, my car, and a lot of other random stuff. In-addition, I also essentially maintained a schedule that had me awake during most of Japan's workday and most of the US workday so that I could be on-the-same-page as my Japanese solicitors/lawyers/proxies/scriveners, while also maintaining normal activities in the US. At times, it certainly felt like a never-ending nightmare. Even now, in the midst of waiting on a final bit of paperwork to clear, it still kind of feels like a nightmare. But it's finally starting to quiet down.
+The beauty of having time off at the end of this process is that I finally have time to sit back and enjoy the fact that I've done most of the process of moving. That means getting coffee, enjoying a train ride, seeing the beautiful Japanese sunrise, and playing a lot of maimai.
+It sure felt like a marathon to get here. Now, maybe it's time to relax and unwind?
