| UniFi Drive supports "encryption" but it's not documented anywhere what it is, how it works, the algorithms, or the implementation. People have [[https://community.ui.com/questions/What-encryption-is-used-on-the-UNAS-Pro-devices/be855766-5c5c-4c43-81ad-8bff481713c9?replyId=7b045123-3463-469f-9188-9df88896371c|asked nicely what the encryption is]] and nobody from UniFi has responded. It's probably eCryptFS. If it is, it has the same limitation Synology has in terms of path length, from my understanding. | UniFi Drive supports "encryption" but it's not documented anywhere what it is, how it works, the algorithms, or the implementation. | Strictly speaking, QNAP and TrueNAS both have well-documented encryption standards, algorithms, and system architecture overviews. Why does UniFi not have this? | Strictly speaking, QNAP and TrueNAS both have well-documented encryption standards, algorithms, and system architecture overviews. Why does UniFi not have this? |
